Debate in RTW Class

RTW class today was not as usual. What I mean here is we were not asked to write the essays like we usually do as class activity like before. We were divided into 2 groups. What we had to do is provide the pros and cons about the usage of English in the learning and teaching of Science and Mathematic subject. I was in the group the need to provide the cons of the usage of English in these two subjects. The other group of course, had to provide the pros. For each group, there were two representatives. In my group as usual Aking, (a very talkative boy, perhaps the most talkative boy in class) and Edrus (Mr. steady and cool hehe…) became the representatives while the other group of course a cute and smart girl, Ika together with Yusuf became the representatives of their group. Wow, it was so happening like a debate! Ika started giving their statement first and responded by Edrus, giving our statement. Then, responded again by Ika and this time, Aking was so spirited replying our statement. I felt like sitting in the parliament and watched the debate among the members of Parliament. So happening and quite funny too. And, it was like an argument too because each of them wanted to defend their statement. Well, lastly we ended our statement and gave the conclusion for our statements regarding to the usage of English in Science and Mathematic. Whatever it is, I think it’s good to have such the activity in the class and we were enjoying doing that so much.
